Kenneth Bekizizwe Nzama was born during the uprising of the youth against apartheid in 1976.
He grew up in a household that was musically inclined so naturally that influence rubbed off on him as he grew up. His first musical influence came through his Grandfather. His collection of all kinds of music ranging from jazz, blues and soul lead him to look at music from a different view.
Kenzhero’s love for music lead him to perusing a musically inclined career through deejaying at poetry sessions in and out of Johannesburg in 1998.
Kenzhero began his journey through an events company called Organix. Organix put together the Open Mind Sessions that brought bands such as Tumi And The Volume and Kwani Experience. Kenzhero then went on to Deejay in Cape town where he became a household name for music listeners that valued good music.
His career as the musical maestro led him to play across the country and he eventually showcased his trait at high-end corporate events by the end of the early 2000’s. By the time he had completed his journey as the custodian for a good time, through his Party People cult event.
